We are situated on the southern edge of Colchester, having our own playing fields, along with a fantastic playground, equipped with everything that you can think of, even a karaoke machine! The school is full of colourful, interactive classrooms and is well resourced throughout. We are also very lucky to have a Nursery within the school, which can take up to 26 children each morning and each afternoon. We run Parent and Toddler sessions every Wednesday and Thursday.
We aim to provide children with a balanced, exciting curriculum. As part of the curriculum we encourage children to adopt a healthy lifestyle and in December 2007 we achieved National Healthy School Status.
We are proud of our school and everyone within it. Parents are positive about our school , as commented on in our latest OFSTED (December 2007), “My child has always been extremely happy at St Michael’s.I feel her voice is always heard by all members of staff. She looks forward to going to school everyday.”
